Half Blood Prince Spoliers Follow My Friends [13 Jul 2009|09:52pm]
[ mood | bemused ]
[ music | Wizards of Waverly Place ]

I finished rereading Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince today and I will admit even before I got to the sad bits in this book was already on the verge of tears since I could now see every turn that lead down to the twisting path that the book takes. I did not cry much the first time around because I knew it was coming and was ready to slap us all in the face. I knew when Dumbledore asked Snape "Please." that he was asking Snape to kill him and that had been the plan all along. I admit I had a doubt once or twice but it never fully shook my trust in Snape just made me cry that he may have ended up in the end only being a coward. I am so glad that wasn't true. This book is my favorite of the seven, it's so strong and leaves so much to be answered but not in a cliff hanger way. You're ready for what comes next; you've learned all Harry has and are willing to stand by him as the next step in his journey is to come just as Ron and Hermione are. You know things are only going to get worst but you're going to stay and finish what has been started so many years before no matter what the next book brings.

Now as I await the next movie I have read a new interview with the man who plays Dumbledore and I found this part of the article so freaking funny I laughed out loud:

"..."Dumbledore dies and I had to do a scene lamenting over his body,” Radcliffe explained to U.K. tabloid The Daily Mirror. “Michael is the most respected actor I have ever worked with so I had to really pull out the stops to convey the emotion. But after the fourth take, I looked down and saw that he had dozed off. I had to prod him to wake up. So much for impressing someone with your skills!”..."

Go on and tell me that's not one of the funniest things you could read about happening on a set during such a heart wrenching scene. *Beams and giggles* The rest of the interview is here: http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/herocomplex/2009/07/harry-potter-countdown-michael-gambon.html

Goodness it's soooooooooooooooo FUNNY! For some reason I picture Radcliffe poking the man with his prop wand to wake him up which just sends me even more into a giggle fit.

In my dream last night Lockheart was working at a Muggle smoothie shop (after he was released from St. Mongos) that Nikki, Tanya, Emily, maybe Aun tu*ms*, and myself had gone too and I was trying to hide from him recognizing me because in my dream it followed my Anna Bluebell’s fanfic time line and I was even going through the effort of ordering a smoothie that I never have before to try and not be recognized (white gummy bear). But he did recognize me and started to talk to me and ended up actually being really nice because of the whole humbling experience that had happened at Hogwarts. So he was seeing how Muggles lived and made an honest living. So when I woke up I had the funny though of his next book being An Honest Day’s Work: My Life as a Muggle.

I just found a whole dead cricket on the kitchen floor while I was sweeping it! At first I thought it was alive and would run from the broom but it was one that I am sure I saw crawling in there the other night and just left alone. So I went to sweep it didn't move so I realized it was dead and said "HOW COOL!" my dad asked me what it was and I showed him, went straight to the garage, grabbed my star box that contains my butterfly collection and proceeded to plop him in with his winged fellows. I now have a cricket in my collection, YEA!

Harry Potter SNL: Hermione's Got BOOBS! [28 Jun 2009|03:35am]
[ mood | amused ]
[ music | movie about a Dog Therapeist who get's a lot of money willed to him and Lucky ]

I just saw a very amusing SNL skit that parodied Harry Potter where Lindsey Lohan was playing Hermione and over the Summer she had gotten her boobs so all the guys where totally distracted by them (she had major cleavage showing up top her sweater vest) and all the while is oblivious to it and trying to get Harry and Ron to do a spell to save them from Voldemort in the Gryffindor common room. Fred and George come in and set the fire going, summon the couch, and turn on a stereo trying to seduce her telling her they have a place off grounds with a mini fridge full of butter beer and in true Hermione fashion she has her mind set on the task at hand and tells them they could celebrate after they defeated Voldemort. They call her a tease and say that they are off to “Beat a couple of Bluggers.” Professor Snape comes in next and asks them why they aren’t in bed sees Hermione and says “Is that you Hermione?” She says “Yes Professor Snape.” He says, “Call me Severus…No, no call me Professor, Professor Snape. 45 double Ds off of Gryffindor…I mean…never mind.” Leaves then Hagrid comes in sees her asks who she is when she tells him he says something like “Getting that out of my brain, well I’m going to the forest to tame my dragon.” After that Hermione gets a huge magnifying glass to read some small print in a book Ron and Harry and only looking at her chest through it and it’s so funny because you can totally tell Lindsey is reading the cue card and not the book, she’s looking straight ahead and not down at the book at all. After the entire failed spell attempts she says she’s going to take a bath and Ron asks Harry is she still has his invisibility cloak. I only write this all down because I want to remember it later when I read over old entries and laugh at it again. :D

Help me... [11 Jun 2009|03:10pm]
[ mood | frustrated ]
[ music | Wife Swap ]

So I mistakenly parked in front of one of the neighbors’ homes last night by like a foot and hindered their parking spot because some jerk took up all three parking spots by parallel parking across the whole fence and in the dark I thought there was one spot left that I could fit in front of the fence, as stupid as that sounds it’s true I thought I was far enough over one of the last thinks I want to do is park in some one’s spot it sucks when people do that. So this morning my dad woke me up and told me to move which was fine, I have no problem fixing that mistake. But on my windshield was a semi rude note that told me to stop parking in front of there house (last night was the first time) because I have to ask to park there and “…YOU’RE CAUSING US DRAMA. STOP PARKING.” That’s what the end of the note said “STOP PARKING.” By the tone of the note it sounded like they think the whole fence is there parking because that is where I normally park last night was the first time I parked in front of their home. But there is no note in the windshield wipers of the blue SUV that took up every spot…I wonder if that is their car. *sighs* I am frustrated because I know this is not a fix because I don’t have a spot and by the way things are going that fucking blue SUV will be taking the whole fence again and no one else will be aloud to park there…I hope there is a street spot open tonight I rather take forever trying to parallel park then take someone’s spot. Please, someone help me. Hopefully Heater does more out soon becuase then I'll have a place to park.

Poor Emily’s window is doing the same thing mine does and it is stuck all the way down and we didn’t get to have our day today because of it. She’s very frustrated as well the poor girl. So we’ve both had a kinda lousy start to the day but at lest I had good company.

Another strange coincidence [11 Jun 2009|12:42am]
[ mood | tired ]
[ music | Deathklock ]

Another strange coincidence happened to me on Tuesday. A man was behind me in his car since Garfield St on my way to school and was behind me all the way until I got to school. He was about to turn in the first turning lane before the light on Gothard behind me but then pulled forward up to the light and went out into the boonies. But he didn’t get out of his car and left it on and I was waiting in my car with the paranoid thought of “What if he was following me?” Because it was a long time that he was behind me but I thought “No I’m being silly.” But then I got out of my car to get my stuff together and then he moved his to a spot closer to the softball field. Then only when I started walking to the school did he start walking to the school as well, coincidence I am sure but it was still creepy all the same. I read way too much and watch way to many movies. *lol*

Well Emily and I are going to Whimsic Alley tomorrow; it will be my second time going there! The first time Emily was trying to surprise me by taking Tanya and I there but when she said it was a surprise for me and that it was in Sana Monica I knew, and I REALLY knew when she said the address was something and ½, but I let her think it would be a surprise until she told me. *lol*

You'll Never Know [29 Apr 2009|06:43pm]
You'll never know just how much I miss you.
You'll never know just how much I care.
And if I tried, I still couldn't hide my love for you.
You oughtta know, for haven't I told you so
a million or more times?

You went away and my heart went with you.
I speak your name in my every prayer.
If there is some other way to prove that I love you,
I swear I don't know how.
You'll never know if you don't know now

I must say that even though I am not done with this book yet -almost done- I had to jump right up and tell all of you just how fantastic and awesome this book is. It really doesn’t hide the truth of the world from our younger readers as many try to. It doesn’t sugar coat it but it also doesn’t just smack you in the face with it either. It’s blunt and forward in a gentle understanding manner with a spike of truthful humor. I love this book, I adore it and it is now one of my favorites Bruce Coville I already thought was a good story teller now I think he’s a wonderfully great one!

6. What Holly Heard, R.L. Stine

Night of the Living Dead 30th Anniversary Edition
       Checked Out:
       Due Date:
       Returned:

Don't even bother with this. The original movie was just a normal lame horror flick but it was still a classic. With the 30th anniversary edition they added new scenes and a new music score. In doing so they raped the classic's dead body and        put it out for every one to see. The music sucks and so do the new scenes with even cheesier acting and worse characters. You get the option of watching either the 30th or '98 version but don't get your hopes up that you'll get to see the real one because the '98 one still has the new score of music added in it and it's just simply horrid, It sounds like a piss poor remix of a bad carnival ride theme.

Was today productive? [24 Jun 2008|03:40pm]
[ mood | a little discouraged ]
[ music | Charlotte's Web ]

Well more job resumes passed out more places saying they are full up for the summer but they will gladly take one just in case. Does this count as being productive? I sort of have an interview at Ashland Artisan Gallery, it’s a nonprofit organization and most of the people there have their work on display but the man, Terry, said I was welcome to have an interview with Denise Baxter so that way she can talk to me. So I set one up for Thursday at 1:00pm. Here is the link to their page: http://store.ashlandartisangallery.com/prostores/servlet/StoreFront

Other then that I got myself a library card right now; it’s limited access because I do not have an ID with my address here, meaning that I can only check out two things at once. That’s fine with me as soon as I get a letter to show them I can get a full access one. I checked out R.L. Stine’s The Dead Girlfriend.

Rachel’s been in Kauai (I think that is the right one seeing as how I have no clue as how to spell it ka-why-e *shrugs*) since last Sunday and it’s the first time in my life that I have been truly alone. No family just a couple hours away and not friends with me. So far I’ve been alright but it is lonely and I am still very home sick.  I can not wait to see my family in July. They got the Labyrinth tickets in the mail this week and I am so stoked! If you’re reading this Emily surprise, but I doubt you are reading it, if you are not reading it I am going to surprise Emily and the others soon that I am coming out July 2nd-July 15th. I can’t wait to see my dad. He’s been very encouraging of me and he sent me the sweetest message on Myspace. I miss him and my other family members so much. But I miss him the most which is funny seeing as how when I was younger we never did start out on the right foot.

Well there you have it for now. My computer is still not fixed or looked at because the place we found changes $75.00 an hour. I am keeping an eye on Rachel’s mom’s house, plants, and cat Maggie. She’s going to pay me $60.00 for this which is nice. I also get TV, food, and laundry privileges. So last Sunday I got to watch H2O and I am so glad because it was an hour long one and it was good! Rachel says we can buy the DVD when it comes out. I miss having cable though because all that happens now when I turn on the TV is a fuzzy screen until I picked out something to watch. It’d be nice just to have it on and talking to me to keep me company when I am alone even if nothing good is on. I am such a cat. Just leave the TV on and I feel less lonely.

P.S. What my dad wrote to me,

" Hi Laurie,

Not much going on here. I have just been working & hanging around the apartment. I started working on your declaration & I will send it to you when I’m done.
I’m glad you’re looking for the self-defense classes.
I think it will truly help you to build up your confidence. Keep looking I’m sure you’ll find something.Did you look online for jobs? Laurie,I am proud of you & I know that you will accomplish whatever you set your sites on. You are a: strong, intelligent, talented, beautiful young woman & I know with all my heart that with a little bit of self confidence you will kick this world’s ass! I can’t wait too see ya, I love you.

Dad."

Okay, I am going to try something new here just because I am in a creative mood today and am trying to get as much out of it as I can before I am burned out of the juices of it. I am going to randomly open the dictionary and point to any old word the first one I get will then have to be included in a short free write that will follow this. Alright so here goes. *Opens dictionary misplaces her finger in the section of it that isn’t the dictionary part so goes again* Alright here the word is this…

coup de grâce (kōō də gräs΄) [[Fr, stroke of mercy]]

1 the blow, shot, etc. that brings death to a sufferer

2 a finishing stroke

Free Write 006

Coup de grace, a mercy to stain red the white sodden lace

Coup de grace, a mercy to lead me to darkness’ final embrace

Coup de grace, a mercy to show me the truth in the mob’s face

Coup de grace, a mercy to put me in my resting place

Coup de grace, a mercy to bring to light that mercy has no grace

(I need to figure out how to put these two different versions together)

Version One:

Her name was Margret

And her only regret

Was that she no bow of her own

She was quite and pretty

Soft spoken and cruel

Yet no one would call her their jewel

No one to love no one to care

No one to bestow upon a lock of her hair

Blood on her lips, poison in her step

For her no man a flame was kept

Version Two:

A ribbon of dread

All silken and red

Brought the end to poor Margret

Who died with only one regret

Soft spoken and meek

There lay no kiss upon her cheek

And it was quite cruel

That no one call her their jewel

Margret so deathly pale

With a neck so sweet and frail

Became such a listless bore that no one did regret

The death of dear dead lonely Margret

Updates from Oregon [02 Jun 2008|09:35am]

[ music | the hum of Rachel's broken Laptop Fan ]

I’m still not unpacked incase you were wondering. It’s a matter of figuring out where the hell everything is going to go. I have my computer, Panda, hooked up but her tower won’t start it just flickers on like it’s going to turn on then dies. I am so upset over it; I don’t know what happened she was working fine before she was packed up in Janet’s backseat. I am so fucking sick of finding things, mostly little my but my floor lamp is the tallest, being broken from the move I am scared to see what my fragile stuff, I packed them all super well though, might be like. Le sigh…

I got my first piece of mail here today my Wizard Rockumentary that I only ordered a couple days ago I didn’t realize they were in Washington and that is only right above us. I haven’t watched it yet but I preordered it so I have a limited première pin, and it’s still shrink wrapped. I am thrilled.

Rachel is off at work right now, she drove herself today. I think I am going to go hide back in bed for the rest of the morning. I nearly have my resume finished I just have to put on my Personal Statement and References. I think job hunting this week is a must. I am home sick, and feeling stupid because of everything I left behind. Sighs.

Right then, I am done with writing this depressing junk for now. Phantom continues to eat just fine and Sapphire still doesn’t seem to eat unless he has to, not ever the blood worms got his appetite going. I’m worried about him. If you do not know who I am talking about go here:

I am going to miss my dad, last night we went to Cheesecake Factory for dinner becuase I had a gift card to use for it. That place sucks, we also saw Prince Caspain the moive was great. It was an early Fathers' Day thing from me sienced I won't see him then.

On to less stressful topics.

I get to go to LOJ! Grandma said it will be for my last birthday becuase I never did anything for it, not even a cake. Well dad did take me to sushi but he normally pays for me so yea. *lol* But I am excited about that I am also going to go our friend of the fmaily's wedding, Doreian*ms?*. Sp I will be back here in Cali from at lest July 5th-July 11th. So not too long that I will be away from my family so it's making things a bit easier. I don't know what else to write so TTFN.
